ABOUT
The South London Sinfonia is an orchestra based in Croydon.
Since its formation in 1927, the orchestra has offered enthusiastic amateurs, with a range of abilities, the opportunity to play together in an atmosphere which aims to promote enjoyment in music making.
At the present time we have spaces for strings, a permanent 2nd trumpet and occasional trombones and percussion.
.
The orchestra takes pride in offering a friendly welcome to all musicians of a suitable standard. Competent sight reading skills are needed.
No audition is required, but players are welcome to come along to a few rehearsals to see if they like us before they commit to being members.
Prospective members should be keen to work together and show a commitment to rehearsals that enables the orchestra to be adventurous and to offer realistic challenges. In return, players will find their skills respected and nurtured in a supportive way.
